Sneaky Little Road
short little clip with a lot of potential lessons. The first turn is a sneaky bastard. over 90 degrees and usually has gravel washing down at the exit. i've actually spun my car there ages ago thinking i was Colin McRae. Even though usually 15mph marked turns are just fine at a little higher speeds, this one isn't.Lesson 1: don't let the signs and what things look like eat up your margin for error. There's always an unexpected something (in this case a couple unexpected somethings) behind a blind corner. The other sneaky bastard on this stretch of road is around...
Oh No! I'm not making this corner!
Any time you watch rnickeymouse on youtube, or look at killboy's pics, or any other motovational media, there is always a crash that is completely preventable. The "got scared, gave up, straightened out" crash. Where the rider gets spooked, thinks they're not going to make the turn, and goes straight. The Problem We've all done it as newer riders. Come into a corner with too much speed (and probably incorrect line) and mid corner realize we're not making it (or have more turning to do). We with our primate walk/run/climb brains aren't very good at leaning and leaning too much freaks us...
random ride
Ran around this loop a bit
Well screw you too r/motorcycles
Cause you know... MCN reposts are cool but any tips are not.
#yeetgromdo Explained
So I’ve been doing this thing since last season and I’ve been having a blast doing it. I’ve called it yeet-grom-do (like taek-won-do but with more bike and more yeet) because someone said it and it stuck. Kinda like a sendup to motojitsu (which is a fun practice system but I have no use for half the things Greg does). This is basically a way to make parking lot practice not suck for me. But this isn’t for everyone and I’ll get into that as well. If you wanna see what it looks like, check out my IG feed ...
